Diversity Among Leading U.S. P&C Insurance Companies

With the current worldwide social movements for equity, it’s clear that ESG concerns over proportionate gender and ethnic representation will continue to be part of the discussion that corporate America has to have. Whether it’s California’s gender equity representation law for corporate boards or shareholder proposals on diversity, the conversation is no longer on the sidelines. With this in mind, we used the CompanyIQ® SEC EDGAR search tool to review corporate governance metrics among the top leadership at six of the leading U.S. property and casualty companies. While our findings are not surprising, they do suggest that the time has come for this industry, along with all the others, to reconsider who gets to be part of American business leadership.
